Hello, friends! It’s time for our latest weekly report!<\/span><\/p>

You’ve likely all seen the advertisement for the Generative Fill function of the new Photoshop version. After deciding to purchase the subscription, I spent quite some time experimenting with this new feature. It’s indeed a significant tool, but it also has its downsides. Here are a few points for you to consider:<\/span><\/p>

  • You cannot generate static objects in locations you’ll use multiple times. If you generate a vase in one render, you won’t be able to replicate the exact same vase in another render from a different perspective.<\/span><\/li>
  • It is particularly sensitive to content and refuses to work at even the slightest hint of nudity. In my case, the function often refuses to operate even when Lisa is fully clothed (perhaps she is too hot for the plugin.)<\/span><\/li>
  • You cannot generate smoke over a barbeque because the AI associates “smoke” with cigarettes. The same applies to any weapon – you cannot generate it.<\/span><\/li>
  • You can’t make slight modifications to existing items. The AI simply redraws everything. For example, if you ask the AI to change hair color, it will comply, but it will also entirely change the hairstyle.<\/span><\/li>
  • You can’t add multiple objects at once. For example, if you select the forest ground and ask the AI to add some mushrooms, it will merely draw one large mushroom. As such, you’ll need to add them one at a time.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

    Nonetheless, despite these drawbacks, the Generative Fill feature is quite useful.
